Debra was born December 20, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, to her parents, Martha Henry and Fred Cooper, and was raised by her bonus Mother and Father, Mary and Calvin Williams. She was raised in the church. Mt Zion Baptist church. She was married and had her first child James Speaight Jr in September of 1973. She moved away to Long Beach, California, in 1980, where she married her second husband, Lee Twymon, and had three children Kevin, Shawn and Sharea Twymon.
She enjoyed working in the nursing field and working with the deceased as a hairstylist and makeup artist. She loved painting and drawing. She also loved making hats, scarves, bonnets, and other clothes. But nothing was more important to her than her family. She was all about her children and grandchildren.
She became a Muslim in 2018.
She passed away in her sleep on March 7, 2023.

She left to cherish her memory her children, James Anthony Speaight Jr, 49, Kevin (Janicca) Twymon, 42, Shawn Twymon, 40, Sharea (Terrence) Twymon-Summers 39; grandchildren, Tracy, Alanna, Aria, Saleea, Perione, Naajia, Jhavier, Jhalyah, Jhaliya, Daijah, Breajah, DaiShawn, Camille and Jhamier; her mother, Martha Henry; sisters, Terry Jones, Monica Brown, and Melanisa Brown; aunts, Willie Ruth Young; lots of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and one great-granddaughter, Love’aya Williams.
