Loretta Denise Clayton, 66 was born in Akron Ohio on October 1, 1956.
Loretta went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 7, 2023. She graduated from Buchtel High School and a member of The House of the Lord.
Loretta our beautiful mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. If there was two words that will describe her, it would be sweet tart. Now she could be sweet as honey, compassionate, loving, and give you kind words and encouragement. Then there was the tart, authoritative, loud and demanding. She would tell you what you going do for her, the sweetness of her heart surpass the tart by leaps and bounds. She was a sweetie pie she loved music, dancing and singing. In her younger days she had a pretty nice album collection her favorite group was the Isley brothers. Her smile was contagious and her laugh which changed the atmosphere of any room, don’t let Ret fool you, she was a straight A student ask nibling Darnell about her he use to put her to the test. Her life pride and joy were Shawnee and Javontae, when she spoke of them there was always a twinkle in her eye and a great big smile on her face.
Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Mae Clayton; father, Norman Robertson; brothers, Thomas Young and George Clayton; and sister, Mary Clayton.
Loretta leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Shawnee and Javontae Clayton of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, James (Deloris) Clayton of Dallas, Georgia, Norman (Darlene) Clayton of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Barbara (Ernie) McCalister of Akron, Ohio; two niblings, Larry Clayton of Tucson, Arizona, Trashawn (James) Thomas of Rowlett,Texas; one sister-in-law, Sarah Young of Forth Worth, Texas; two aunts, Doretha Knott, Jean Ivy and special cousins, Cammie Ford and Dorothy Evege; nieces and nephews, Sharon, James Jr., Lamar, Normika, Daniel, Darice, Breauna and a host of cousins, family and friends.
