Nicole Elett Wilson, affectionately known as Nikki or Cousin Nikki, was born on August 4, 1968, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Nancy Wilson and the late Emmitt Wilson Jr.
Nicole attended Dominion Family Church and accepted Christ at an early age. To know her was to know the joy of life. She worked for Summa Healthcare for over 20 years and was also a private homecare provider. Nicole gave selflessly to anyone in need. One of her tremendous attributes was making everyone who came into her presence feel special. She’d open up her home and welcome you to stay as long as needed. She enjoyed preparing extraordinary meals from her heart and soul. Nicole and her daughter, Charde, had a bond like no other. They were inseparable, and Nicole was her biggest cheerleader. Nicole loved to travel and enjoyed flying first class to Paris and other parts of Europe. She also enjoyed attending concerts, and you can be sure that she knew the words to every single song. She thought of everyone, especially the children. Nicole expressed her love through throwing parties, Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties, and most of all, she loved Christmas. From the Easter Bunny handing out Easter Baskets to Santa Claus presenting presents, she made sure each child had a gift uniquely made for them. Nicole was determined that everyone had a good time and felt special. On March 7, 2020, Nicole was ecstatic to be inducted as a Philo of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated.
Nicole was peacefully called home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2023, surrounded by many family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emmitt Wilson Jr.; brother, Emmitt Wilson III.
She leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Nancy Wilson; daughter, Charde Deans; grandchildren and loves of her life, Anthony and Ashton Deans, all of Akron; siblings, Anthony Dexter, Alfonso Dexter of Atlanta, Georgia, Shamia Wilson of Akron, Sabrina (Benny) Wynn, Monique Wilson, Emmitt (Grace) Wilson IV, Walter (Sarah)Wilson, all of Utica NY; Kimneisha (Doron) James of Tallahassee, Florida, Sophia (Helon) Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
