Gary Parker, 55, departed this life on July 27, 2023.

Gary was born in Akron, Ohio to Preston and Geraldine Park. He attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Buchtel High School. He was a star athlete who excelled in football, leading the Griffins as the starting quarterback. His passion for football was ignited as a youngster, playing for the South Rangers. After graduation he went to attend Central State University.

He is preceded in death by; his parents; and brothers, Darrell, Ronald and Ricky Parker.

He leaves to cherish his memory children, Donte Goodwin, Gary Parker Jr. and Kayla Parker; stepchildren, Anthony Fox, Larry and Bryanna Sullivan and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
