Hattie Mae Langdon was born in Gallion Alabama on July 23,1939 to Alice Lawson Thomas and Ivory Dexter Thomas II.

She was the youngest child with two brothers, Joseph Lawson and Willie E. Thomas Sr., two sisters Louisa Lawson and Victoria Lawson.

She was raised in Gallion Alabama where she attended Linden Public Schools and excelled in her studies.

Their father and mother owned a Dairy Farm where she participated in the 4-H Club Program.

She started her love of sewing at an early age. Mae was very creative and artistic, she was known for her cooking, baking and interior decorating skills. She was also a seamstress and hair stylist.

Her family later moved to Birmingham Alabama.

Mae married Robert J. Langdon in Birmingham Alabama. She and her family moved to Akron Ohio in 1965.

She worked as a seamstress for Lloyd Upholstery Company, Oneil’s and J C Penny’s.

She loved her family with all her heart. She was a “Momma Lion” and loved helping people. She never met a stranger; her doors were always open to help others.

Her saying was “I LOVE YOU MORE”!

Mae was a member of The Eastern Church of Christ where she attended with her children and mother. She was also a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Langdon, father Ivory Dexter Thomas II, mom Alice Lawson Thomas.

Brother Joseph (Louise) Lawson; sister Louisa(Willie)Dean, Victoria(Rosevelt)Mitchell. Daughter Kennetta Langdon-Lochart; granddaughter Kayla Langdon; grandsons Bradlee Hopson Jr, Dion Thomas; cousins Lester Robinson, Ozoria Dean, Phillip Mitchell.

She leaves her children; Carlos Lawson, Ivory Thomas Sr., Gernaldo Thomas Sr., Tonya Hopson, Terry (Carla) Thomas Sr., LaJeanie Thomas, Alicia Gwynn, Kenise Brown and Keenen Langdon Sr.

Grandchildren Omari Lawson, Joshiah Lawson, Ineka Thomas, Ivory Thomas Jr. Dexter Thomas, Ollysse Elkins, Michael Hopson, Jermaine Hopson, Antoinne Thomas, Destanne Thomas, Gernaldo Thomas Jr, Allysse Thomas, Corey Gwynn, Tyvetta Brown, Keont’e Langdon, Kirsten Brown, Kendall Brown and Keenan Langdon Jr. also a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends;  Special friend, Sonny
