Eric Wayne Jones Jr. was born December 8, 2002, in Akron, Ohio to Eric Jones and Brandie (Randy) Echols-Porterfield. Eric was the second eldest of his siblings. From early childhood, he looked up to his older brother Elijah, the two were insuperable and when you saw one the other wasn’t far behind. Eric always stayed busy and hated to wasting time so he occupied his time with sports, everything from Basketball to football and gaming. Eric was known to be a hard worker penning him the nick name “Grind Hard” he worked as a construction worker in the suburbs of Summit County and attended Towpath Trail.

Eric was reared in a God-fearing family, the product of a family of faith, he gave his life to the Lord as a child and recommitted his life to God during his early adulthood. A lifelong member of Living for Christ Ministries Inc. Akron, Ohio under the leadership of his grandparents the late Bishop Silas and Lately Johnson. He enjoyed spending time interacting with his siblings, but the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his baby girl “Tootie”, the love of his life.

Eric tragically departed this earthly life on Saturday December 5, 2024, and was preceded in death by his brother Elijah, grandparents, Bishop Silas and Pastor Lately Johnson; uncle, Willie Johnson and cousin, Caleb.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Charm N. Jones; mother, Brandie (Randy) Porterfield; father, Eric Jones, siblings, Eryanna, Eris, Brandon, Brysean, Brydelll, Rahonna, Raynn, Raymir, Randy Jr., Raylin, Ryan, Romeo, Rayion, Royale, Raven, and Raelah; grandparents (maternal), Fred and Kathy Cloud (paternal), grandmother Melony Jones; niece, Charm; maternal uncles, Chris Echols, Silas (Sheneen) Landis, Douglas Cloud (Shatori), Dominic Cloud; maternal aunts, Tiffany Echols, Fredrianna Cloud; paternal aunt, Crystal Jones (Javier, Christian, Jayla) and a host of cousins relatives and friends. Eric will be dearly missed.
