Robert Toomer beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 23, 2025. Robert was born in Akron, Ohio to Mattie , and George Toomer. Although, he lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio he traveled and resided in other states for short periods of time. He graduated from Akron South High School. He was proud to say that he was the father of six children.

Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He loved to laugh and tell stories about his childhood and how life was when growing up. Robert loved love and he would shower affection and gifts on those that he loved with a little rumble or minor fussing, but we all knew he still did it in love. He loved to spend time with his nephew Johnnie while watching movies or just talking about life. He retired from Chrysler Stamping Plant Chemical Department after 40 years of service. He was committed to the friendships and bonds that he had while working at Chrysler and continued his many friendships until his final hour.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Mattie and George Toomer, brothers, Jimmy Toomer, Ronald Toomer and Melvin Batties, sisters, Minnie Primes, Matlin, and Summer Batties. He was also preceded in death by his wonderful daughters Marie “Shelly” Toomer, and Reneice Toomer, granddaughter, Unique Meddley and grandson Braeden Heath.

He is survived by his children, sons, Anthony (Sherry) Meddley, Micheal (Carla) Wise, Micheal Price, and daughter, Suzshaa Toomer; Brothers, William, George (Sheryl), Donald (Roberta) Toomer and many other family members and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, February 8, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., New Spirit Revival Center- Akron (1061 Clearview Ave, Akron, OH 44314). Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00.
