

Roosevelt Carson, 85, transitioned peacefully from this earthly life on January 23, 2025. He was born in Sunny South, AL. to parents Ozie and Iola Carson on October 13, 1939. He was the eldest of their six
children and their only son.
Roosevelt met and married the love of his life, wife of 60 years, Helen Brown Carson. Shortly after their union, Roosevelt and Helen, relocated to Akron, OH with their eldest child, Ronald. Their family flourished to welcome four more children.
Roosevelt was the epitome of a dedicated and hardworking provider that labored tirelessly over the
years to provide for his family, in which He adored. He retired from B and C Research in 2009. Roosevelt was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan for over 60 years. His favorite Dallas Cowboys player was Tony Dorsett, who was kind enough to send Roosevelt a short video thanking him for being a devoted fan. Win or lose, Roosevelt would always say, “How bout them ‘Boys!”.
Roosevelt is preceded in death by his parents, children, Ronald Dwayne and Stephanie Natasha Carson, sisters, Mary Hosea, Roberta Champion and Bobby Jean Norwood and several brothers-in-laws.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory devoted wife, Helen; children, Reggie, Stacy (Phillip) and Ray, all of Akron, OH; sisters, Peggy Wilson and Gloria Williams; daughter-in-law, Shannon Carson of Garland, TX; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. Special thank you to grandchildren, Brian Carson, Reggie Carson II, Aaliyah Moore and Brandon Hamilton, who deeply treasured spending time with their grandfather, as he imbedded his loving legacy in each of them.
