Frank Lowell Carter, a beloved son, father, and brother, answered his calling on February 1, 2025. His life was filled with love, family, and an abundance of friends.

Frank was born in Akron, Ohio, on November 18, 1989. He was raised in Columbus,OH, where he attended Northland High School. Upon returning to Akron, Frank pursued his passion for cooking and began his career as a chef at a local restaurant. His favorite culinary skill was the grill, and he loved to barbecue for his friends and family at any special event.

Frank embraced life with a spirit of adventure, always seeking new experiences. He especially enjoyed football, basketball, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Frank and Jean Carter; his uncle, Larry Carter; his beloved grandmother, Eargie Campbell, and grandfather, Joseph Lowell Poulson. 

Frank leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marquita Y. Carter; his father, Anthony (Alana) Poulson; his precious daughters, Nia Carter and Delilah Carter; his brothers, Daniel Carter and Anthony L.S. Carter Poulson; his sisters, Dominique L. Carter, Alexandria M. Poulson, and August Marie Poulson; his uncles, George Carter, Calvin Carter, Greco (Teresa) Battles, and Lowell Patrick Poulson, his aunts, Tara Carter, Dimitri Harper, Veronica Poulson, Jocelyn Warren, and Tammi Campbell; his great-aunt, Kimberly Carter; his beloved grandmother, Doris Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved very much. 

Frank’s presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am, Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Road, Akron, Ohio. Services will immediately follow at 11:00. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
