Ronnie Q. Terry age 71; took his final nap and went to eternal sleep in the arms of the Lord on February 11, 2025.

Born December 28, 1953, in Akron, OH, to Marion and Christine Terry. He attended Akron Public Schools and Buchtel High School. The love of God was the center of his life, and he accepted Christ at an early age, and he truly knew and loved the Lord. In the early 80’s he decided to make a change and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he received his Journeyman Plumbers license in 1997, and worked in that profession for many years. He remained in Indianapolis until September 2022, before moving back home and retiring shortly thereafter.

He eventually went back into the workforce part-time with Akron Public Schools in the maintenance department, Crouse Community Learning Center was his assigned school, and he truly enjoyed being around the kids and staff there.

Ronnie was a very educated, intelligent, witty, artistic and musically inclined individual that loved playing his many guitars. He had an amazing sense of humor, always ready with a quick response or rebuttal and willingness to lend a helping hand to others. He was respected wherever he went. He was also a very distinguished and exquisite dresser and if you knew him, then you know; no one could rock a vest with no shirt and a pair of Stacy Adam’s like he could. Even if he was just going to an outside event, you could find him with his suit, matching shoes (no matter what color), hat and his shades on. That was just him and his style.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Terry and Christine Terry Johnson; brothers, Marlowe Terry and Waymon Griffin ; grandson, Timothy Robertson, II and niece, Alisa Watkins.

Ronnie is survived by and leaves to cherish his precious memories daughters, Rhonda (Moshe’) Latimer, LaShawna Miller (Kevin); sisters, Delores Watkins and Dorothy Poole; brother, Kim (Robin) Terry all of Akron, OH; special nephew, Gregory (Maestro) Poole; special uncle, William Owens; grandchildren, Jeffrey, JaVonna, JaNae, Jada Jackson; great-grandchildren, CaeVion, Michael, Amiyah, Stepfon, Jermani, Malakhi; nephews, Keith and Kevin Watkins, Waymon Jr. and Wayne Griffin, Marlowe Merchant; nieces, April Watkins, Tracy Bryant; special friends, Dianne Hughes, Vernon Moore, Perry Walker, Ronnie and Stacy Knox, Ronnie Hicks, Michael Burley, Bill McCloud, Kenny Anderson, Ranata Hill, Debi Smith along with a host of other relatives and friends.
