Lisa Geter was born on December 9, 1965, at St. Elizabeth hospital, Youngstown, Oh, to Brenda Daye. Brenda married Ned Gray Jr. and moved the family to Akron, Ohio. Lisa grew up in Akron until her senior year in high school when she moved to Youngstown, Ohio graduating from Rayen High School in 1984. Shortly after graduating Lisa joined the United States Navy where she met and married Vernard Geter. With that union they had four children, Asia, Marchon, Chevella and Da’Nico Geter. She served 4 years and received an honorable discharge. She later joined the Army Reserves and served two years before receiving another honorable discharge. She moved back to Akron where she spent the rest of her life until the Lord called her home.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ned Gray Jr.; daughter, Asia Geter.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda Gray; children, Marchon Geter, Chevella Geter and Da’Nico Geter; grandchildren, Trayvaugh, Cheyenne, Dominique, Danico, Asia, Jaylen, Mikayla, Marquise, Cashay, Cali; siblings, Steven Sr. and Tonya Gray.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 12:30 at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320. Funeral service will immediately follow. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
