Gwenevere “Boots” Osirio, 81, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at McCrea Manor Nursing Center following an extended illness.
She was born in Alliance, Ohio, to the late Willie Mack Walker and Elnora (Osirio) Anderson on May 6, 1944.
Gwenevere was a graduate of Alliance High School, class of ’62. She furthered her education by attending Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing in Salem, Ohio.

She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she served on the Nurses Guild and Pastor’s Aide Committee. She was also a member of Starlite Chapter #83 Order of Eastern Star. Her favorite hobbies were shopping, watching television, listening to music, and traveling, which she truly enjoyed.

Those left to cherish her memory are a sister, Balkis Walker of Reston, Virginia, Aunt Laura Jarman, a special cousin, Lisa (Fred) Mallard, Stepmother Carrie L. Walker, Stepsister Gwendolyn M. Thomas, and best Friend, Susie (Freddy) Rice; A host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Stepfather Artis Anderson, both maternal and paternal grandparents, Special Aunt Hattie Bivins, and long-time special companion Hue Lee “Smokey” Howell and Stepsister Leslie K. Humphrey-Barron.

Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 715 S. Arch Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
