In Loving Memory Of

Ernestine Jones

Sunrise: February 2, 1931
Sunset: January 12, 2026

Ernestine was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a woman whose love extended far beyond her family to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her life was defined by love, service, and a generous heart. She had a natural gift for taking care of others, always making sure those around her felt seen, fed, and comforted. Caring for people was not just something she did, it was who she was. She gave freely of herself, always placing the needs of others before her own.

As a mother, she nurtured with patience, strength, and unconditional love. As a grandmother, she delighted in caring, teaching, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Her family was her greatest pride, and she poured into them the same kindness and dedication that she showed to the world around her.

She expressed her love through cooking, turning every meal into an act of care and connection. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, where no one ever left hungry or unheard. She also found joy and peace outdoors, tending her garden with the same gentle attention she gave to people, and fishing, where she enjoyed quiet moments of reflection and happiness, whether she was by the water alone or sharing the experience with loved ones.

Ernestine’s legacy is one of love, service, and selflessness. Though she will be deeply missed, the care she showed, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave will live on through her family and all those lives she touched.
Ernestine worked for several companies in the Akron area. Retiring from Summit Co Children Services Board coming out of full and final retirement at the age of 83 as a home health aide for Alzheimer patients.
