Robin S. Acklin

Robin Suzette Acklin 66, passed away peacefully early on Friday morning, August 14, 2026, in her home, after battling a long illness.

Robin was a beloved member of the Akron community, where she was born and raised. Growing up on the west side of Akron, Robin attended South High School, graduating from there in 1978.

Robin was a hard-working woman, having worked various jobs to help support her family. She was employed at MetLife Insurance Company in the early 1990’s and later at Summa Health Care, with more than 25 years of service, before retiring in February of 2025.

Robin is preceded in death by her father, Robert Jackson Sr.; mother, Elnora Jackson; brothers, Stanford L. Harris, Robert Jackson Jr. (Bobby); sister, Traci Jackson and ex-husband, Michael Acklin.

Robin is survived by her sons, Michael J. and Marcus Acklin; sister, Margaret Thomas; brother, Royce and Tony Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
