Climmie Solomon

Climmie Solomon, age 80, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on October
19, 2026, passing away peacefully.

He was born on February 14, 1946, in Akron, OH
to the late Andrew Solomon Jr. and Ida Mae Solomon. Climmie was a stranger to
no one. He was a free spirit who lived his life his own way. Blessed with a
remarkable musical talent, he found his greatest expression in singing or when
playing an electric guitar or sitting playing the piano. In his younger days, he
once appeared and performed with his music group on the “Gene Carrol Show”,
a former long-running television show in Cleveland. He will be long
remembered for his effortless cool walk and the natural charisma that drew
people to him. Climmie was a natural charm, and the ladies just adored him.
Climmie was a long-term client of Community Support Services of Akron and he
greatly enjoyed the social activities. He will be deeply missed by his friends and
family.

Climmie is survived by his daughters, Tina and Leatrice; sisters, Ardelma (Frank)
Cummings, and Melmer (James) Golden; grandchildren, and a host of nieces and
nephews.

The family would like to thank Sommerville Funeral Services and
Pastor Robert Lee.
