Michael Gary Higgins was the second child born to Thomas and Doris Higgins on July 20, 1962. Everyone knows he was his mother’s favorite child. He loved that and deserved that title because he spoiled her, and she spoiled him.
Michael worked various network marketing and transportation jobs. Wherever he went he was loved. He loved his gospel music and listened to it every day. He attended Light of the Temple Church, where he loved to hear his dear Aunt Hannah Mae sing. He loved that song! He would come home talking about it and singing it.
Michael loved being with his family and friends. He brought us so much joy with his big smile and jokes. He didn’t judge anyone and always had a caring, listening ear for all people from all walks of life.
Big Mike was known for the stylish way he dressed, and he always smelled so good. He would help anyone any way he could even when he was tired himself.
Mike loved sports and was a Diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was also hooked on politics and loved to debate with his brother and sister on a nightly basis.
On Saturday, April 25, 2020, Michael made his transition with no fear. He was a true example of unshakeable faith. The joy he had knowing he was going home gave his family comfort. We know we will all be together again in Paradise.
