On July 14, 2020 Joell Lockhart (aka Joe) passed away after an extended health decline. Joell was 82 years old. Joell was born on December 12, 1937 in Greenwood, SC to the parents of Joe and Geneva Lockhart.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his only daughter, Linda Jean Brown and 8 siblings, one sibling, Eula Brooks was his major caretaker for over 5 years.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Willie Joe Williams and David Lockhart both of SC; several grandchildren including Nichelle Brown and Richard Brown Jr. both of Akron, Ohio; former wife, Anna Lockhart of SC; sisters , Mary Syrkett and Susie (Robert) Griffin, both of SC, and Geneva Brooks of Las Vegas, NV; niece, Tonya Thomas; and special friend of 18 years, Mary Prieto, both of Akron, Ohio and a host of other nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
