Annie Ruth Stone departed this earthly life on September 18, 2021. Annie was born May 20, 1936 in Evergreen, AL to the late Harvey Benson and Daisy Mae Lee.

At a young age Annie received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. As a young adult she moved to Akron, OH where she eventually opened a restaurant on Copley Road. Her door was always opened to those who needed help. She was a pillar in the community who loved everyone from her heart.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alfonzo Benson and grandson, Quinntin Chatman; brothers, James, Ernest, Melvin, John D. and Warren Lee; sister, Mary Tucker and special uncle, Willie J. Paige.

She leaves to cherish her memory granddaughter, Niema Nicholson; great granddaughters, Tayvia, Luxury and Kwinn; sisters, Alberta Bullock, Lucy (Herbert) Holder, Jessie Calhoun all from Evergreen, AL, Vonille McCullough and Leona Daniels from CA; brothers, John David (Willie Mae) Lee, James Williams “JW” (Tammy) Lee; special aunt, Evan Jackson of Akron OH and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; special friends, Midas,Tracy, Marilyn, Wanda,Ralph and her aide, Dianne.
