Beth V. Walker, 69, of Perrysburg OH, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Born to Robert Lee and Charlye Mae Walker on February 2, 1955 in Akron OH. Beth was a 1974 graduate of Buchtel High School, later continuing her education at Lansing Community College.
Beth’s interest included sewing, butterflies, all things purple, technology, puzzles, sweets and a love for learning; but nothing captivated her heart more than her kids.
Always the caring and compassionate mother, she taught her children a love for life, a reason to smile in every situation, and most importantly, a love for God. All lessons her children will cherish forever. Truly, Beth embodied the wisdom from Solomon’s timeless proverbs: “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6.
Her contagious laughter, big beautiful smile, quick wit, “crown of gray hair, attained through a righteous life” will be dearly missed by her children, Jeanyne (Joe) Jakubowski of Bowling Green, OH and Leonard (Julia) Welch of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Emma, Addison, and Moses Jakubowski of Bowling Green, OH; brother, Kevin Lee (Majorie) Walker; niece, Tiffany and nephew, Matthew Walker, all of Jacksonville, FL, as well as many others she considered family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Baptist Church in Akron, OH. Condolences can be sent to 844 Garth Ave, Akron, OH 44320.
