Cameron Motley

Sunset: October 21, 2025

Cameron L. Motley, 47, gained his wings on October 21, 2025, after a short illness.

Cameron was educated through Akron Public Schools and later earned his G.E.D. He went on to build a career in the food industry, working in various restaurants for many years. His dedication, work ethic, and sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone he worked with.

Cameron truly enjoyed life and the people around him. He cherished time spent with family and friends, loved taking vacations, and had a lifelong passion for sports. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers, the San Antonio Spurs, and the New England Patriots. Music was also a big part of Cameron’s life. He loved dancing, cracking jokes, and listening to his favorite songs — “Snooze” by SZA, “With You” by Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, and “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga.

Cameron was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Ruth Motley; father, Johnny Moore; and grandparents, Annie Ruth Motley and Thomas H. Motley Sr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted mother, Quinsella Motley; the love of his life, Jennifer Foder; beloved daughter, Journee McGhee; sisters, Tanisha (Jay) Motley, Ikeya Deh, and Annette Simmons; brothers, Nathanie (Darnell) Motley and Juan Branch; aunt, Deborah Motley; uncles, Maple Leo (Keisha) Motley Sr. and Carl Motley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Cameron will be remembered for his laughter, kindness, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His spirit will live on through the love and memories shared by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320. Funeral service will immediately follow.
