Charles Eugene Littleton was born on March 18, 1945 and was called to be with his heavenly father on March 18, 2023. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Charles was known to be generous, kind person with a sense of humor and just a down home good-hearted loving person. He was born in Bude, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, he traveled and settled in Akron, Ohio.
Charles was gainfully employed at The Atlantic Foundry as a welder and union representative until its closure. He then continued his service at North American Products as a machinist until his retirement.
Charles has always believed in the Lord and joined church at an early age in Bude, Mississippi. In latter years he became a long-time member of The House of the Lord in Akron, Ohio.
Charles enjoyed traveling, entertainment, dancing, sports and spending time with family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by parents Curtis and Laura Bell Littleton, Sisters Gloria Sue Smith, Lillian West and Janet Quick, Brother Lenard Littleton.
Charles leaves a legacy of love to his surviving wife Denise Littleton of 57 years, daughter Tijauna (Gregory) Smith, grandson Joshua Taylor, bonus grandchildren Ravon Clyburn, Garvey Smith and Braxton Smith, brother Lawrence (Edna) Littleton, sisters Curtis Marie Dubose, Margaret Joyce Littleton, and Faye McGhee and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
We sincerely appreciate and give thanks to those who have given us support and comfort in our time of sorrow and loss. Your prayers are everlasting.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Ohio 44320.
Visitation 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. followed by memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
