Deborah Ann Hammonds went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2023. She was born in Oakland California on September 9, 1956 to Patricia Ann Lee Hammonds and Robert “Bobby” Gibson.
She graduated with her GED and had many jobs including working in restaurants and as a Home Health Aide. Her favorite job was working for the Cab Company because she loved to talk and be of help to people.
After retiring she became an active member of the City of Encouragement Faith Deliverance Five-Fold Ministry, under the direction of Apostle J. T. Harper, and became one of the Mother’s of the Church where she remained active until she fell ill.
She is preceded in death by grandmother Martina Lee, parents Patricia Hammonds and Robert “Bobby” Gibson, daughter Damenia Hammonds, brother Karl Adams, grand-daughter’s Cupcake and Ivory Freeman.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Donald Cody, brother’s; Leroy Hammonds, James McVay, Robert Driver, Robert Smith, James Smith, Juan Gibson, Ty Foster, Ronelle Gibson. Sisters; Mary Veal, Sharona Matthews, Neka Davis, Tracy Smith, Brandy Gibson, Costina Gibson and Erika Hazard. Daughters; Latrina Moore, Patricia (Kel-Kel) Hammonds, Sons; Scott Hammonds and Demetrius Sanders.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
