Delores N. Jenkins 89, of Alliance departed this life on January 2, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born May 4, 1931 to the late Charlieand Irene Harris in Wetumpka, Ala.
Dolores Retired from Alliance Community Hospital after 30+ years as a surgical nurse. She was a Lifetime member of Second Baptist Church and served as an Usher and a Deaconess. She was also a member of Starlight Chapter 83. Delores was known for her German chocolate cake and had a smile that would light up a room. She loved baking, traveling, judge shows, casinos, and was an avid sports fan, especially Baseball, as the Cleveland Indians were her favorite team.
She was preceded in death by husbands Paul Nicholson and Eugene Jenkins, daughter, Paulette Napier, grandson, Demetrius, her parents, sisters, Dorothy Harris and Erma Holloway, brother Charles Harris and special friend and traveling partner, Virginia Proctor.
Left to celebrate her life are two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, Nia Jones, Ty and Taj Lipkins, Leah and Neissa Cameron, special nieces, Shanna Lawson, Pam Holloway, Marcia Hawkins, Aleicia McCullough, Takeitha Edwards, Shannelle Grimes, Toya Harris Wood, Linda Gibson, and Cynthia Cotton, special nephews, Cedric Edwards Sr., Darrell Holloway, Trussell Holloway, and Jayare Fields, special friends, Mary Jane Herring, Brunell Watson, Sandra Nicholson, Clara Harper, Ginger Stewart, Wanda Jones, Roy Nicholson Sr., and Bill Kilgore and church daughter, Andrea Carroll and many other relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
