Eddie Frank Johnson III was born on April 25, 1980, to Eddie Frank Johnson Jr. and Brenda Johnson-Scott. He departed this life on December 18, 2022.
He graduated from Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio, and Land of Lincoln Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. As a firm believer in entrepreneurship, his lifetime goal was to establish his own business. Working towards his goal, Working towards his goal, he studied botany and herbal healing and received his certification.
Life relocated Eddie and his mother to Springfield, Illinois, but he later returned home to Akron, to join his Uncle Russell in the family business. After one year of hard work, he became an owner/operator within the company. Until his untimely departure, he worked towards all his business goals and aspirations for 2023.
Eddie was raised in a Christian home and always held on to his foundational teachings. He ministered and shared God’s word with anyone that crossed his path. There was no such thing as a stranger to Eddie. He was immediately loved and would take over any room with his vibrant smile, laugh, and light. Although Eddie was large in stature, friends and family alike could attest that he was a “gentle giant” with a heart larger than him and full of love.
During his free time, in addition to his love for entrepreneurship, Eddie enjoyed competitive gaming, personal fitness, nutritional health, and spending time with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Clara Dossie; grandfather, Jerry Dossie; father, Eddie Frank Johnson Jr.; and uncle, Lionel Beard.
He will sadly be missed by his mother, Brenda Johnson-Scott (Charles) of Illinois; siblings, Lawrence Byers (Jazzmin), Christopher Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Beverly Johnson, Edward Johnson, Destiny Johnson, Da’juan Owens, and Myron Rogers, all of Akron, Ohio; uncles, Alex Beard of Virginia, Jerry Dossie of Akron, Ohio, Melvin Dossie (Donna) of Akron, Ohio; aunts, Patricia Beard of North Carolina, Regina Ellis of Akron, Ohio, Brenda Johnson-Young (Marvin) of Tallmadge, Ohio, Marcina Barnes of Panama City, Florida, and Violet Moon of Akron, Ohio; special cousins, Stephanie Ladeutt of Virginia (Children: Steven/Jenea’), Elisha Beard of Akron, Ohio (Children: Devonte/Kris/Logan), Lanette Black of North Carolina (Children: Desmond/Adrian); god sisters, Tamika White of Columbus, Ohio, and Monique Washington of Dayton, Ohio; God brothers, TaRonn White, and TaRodd White of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
