Editor Lott, 81, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2023. She was born in Groveland, Georgia on May 7, 1941, to the late Naomi Simmons and Sheffield Ware.

Editor was a graduate of Mansfield Business college and worked in childcare and as a nurse’s aide. She was a kind and loving person who never met a stranger and absolutely loved her family. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she served on the senior usher board, gospel choir and as a deaconess. Her poetry, gardening, fish fry’s and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Kenneth Lott Sr., children, Coleen Clark, Angelee (Freeman) Hawkins, Vicki (Thomas) Clark, Thomas (Von) Clark, Steven Clark, Joseph Clark, Jamesine (Robert) Winters and Gino (Lindsey) Threats; 5 stepchildren; brother, Tony Pue and a great host of grandchildren, greats and great- great, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 17, 2023, at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor W. Max Millender, officiating. Friends may call the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
