It is with great sadness we share that our beloved son Elijah Coleman left us far too soon on December 20, 2025, at the age of 19. Leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
Born May 28, 2006, in Akron, Ohio to parents Arthur Coleman and Keitra Payne of Akron, Ohio. Elijah was laid-back, bright, and gentle spirit. He became a member of The House of The Lord at a very early age, singing in the choir and serving in the nursery/children’s ministry. He was also very active in sports and music throughout his life, participating in baseball, basketball, taekwondo, swimming, wrestling, track, and piano. He loved to travel, had an appreciation for spontaneous road trips, and loved the simple things in life.
After graduating from Firestone High School in 2024, he went on to join the Army National Guard. He was in the 1137th Signal Company within the 216th Engineer Battalion, specializing in tactical installation and networking. He not only worked on computers and network infrastructure as a duty to our country, he also enjoyed building PC’s from scratch as a hobby in his free time. From the PCU Processor, Motherboard, Operating System, and every step in between, he could name it and build it. He also loved to spend his free time playing video games, live streaming, drawing, and hanging out with his small group of close friends.
Elijah was very dedicated, caring, and loyal to his family and friends and was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a beautiful soul, and although he is gone, he will forever be in our hearts.
Elijah is preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Bell Coleman, grandfather Porter Coleman, and sister, Moriah Margaritakis.
Elijah is survived by his loving parents, Arthur Coleman and Keitra Payne; sister, Zhane’ Cook; brothers, Armon Cook and Arthur Coleman Jr.; special aunt, Linda Isaiah; nephew, Kaisyn Fondal, grandmother Angela Mcwain, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held Monday December 29, 2025, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at The House of The Lord, at 1650 Diagonal Rd, Akron, OH 44313. Funeral service will immediately follow.
