Florence “Flo” was born on July 1, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She relocated to Akron, Ohio with her family. After the death of her parents, Aunt Sallie and Uncle Thomas V. Williams opened their home and raised her like a daughter. She attended Akron Public Schools, where she graduated from Buchtel High School. Florence earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Akron.
Florence was raised to love and worship the Lord. Her Christian walk began at Robert Street Church of God and continued at Arlington Church of God. As a faithful servant of God, she served with the Arlington’s Seniors ministry and ACOG mission ministry, along with leading the early Adult Sunday School class.
She was employed by and retired from Summit County Department of Jobs and Family Services, where she conducted investigations into abused and exploited senior citizens.
She cherished and loved the memories of her late son, James Quinton Law. Parents Drula and James Arthur Lewis, Brothers, Henry T. and Allan C. Lewis. Aunt’s Sudie (Windred) McDuffie, Thelma Gibson and Sallie (Thomas V.) Williams, and Foster Mom Ella LeJoyce Fowler.
She leaves her loving husband, Ralph Roebuck, Jr.; brother, Arthur J. Lewis (Rosalind) and nephew, Adam Mitchell Lewis; cousin, Marilyn Steward; Foster Family, Reverand Dr. Ronald J. Fowler, Cynthia Starks (Travis, deceased), Christine Fowler-Mack (Quintero), and Ronald J. Fowler Jr.(Kishna); sisters-In-Law, Sandra Roebuck, Sheila (Dennis) Franklin, Patricia (Eric) Brown; stepchildren, Lisa K. Roebuck, Tina (Fernando) Rabb, and Ralph (Amber) Roebuck III; grandson’s, Hunter R. West, Christian D. Roebuck, Emmanuel K. Roebuck, and Kingston L. Roebuck; lifelong friends, Marvis (Terence) Holt, Simonne Hinkson-Wright, Gail Bell; The Arlington Church of God family, and a host of dearly loved family and friends.
