Franklin A. Sherman, born August 6,1945, transcended to his new life on August 10, 2019 to reunite with his parents Eddie Sr. and Bessie Sherman, his siblings, Jimmy Sherman, Donnie Sherman, Sidki (William) Muwauliff, Bernard Sherman, Mitchell Sherman, Theoseus Sherman, Eddie Sherman Jr., Anna Jackson, and Betty Flint.
Franklin was born in Barberton, Ohio. He lived his adult life in Akron, Ohio where he was a thriving member of his community. He was an active member in his neighborhood watch for over 20 years. He advocated for residents in South Akron area by participating in community planning meetings. While residing at the The Arbors of Fairlawn he was part of the resident meetings and gave his input on improving the meals that were served to the residents. He helped to start a garden in the courtyard, so that the dietary staff would have fresh vegetables to use in the kitchen.
Franklin loved his family and friends immensely he was always there for them with whatever resources he had. He would not just give physical things but would teach others lessons to help them become self sufficient.
He worked for NRM and Alpha Phi Alpha homes.
He loved being out on the water fishing and being out in his garden.
He leaves to cherish his memory children, Rodney (Stancy) Sherman and Kelley Sherman (Hubert Owens) of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren Jeremy Brown- Phelps, Alexis Sherman and Hope Sherman; great grandchild Kevin Thomas; brothers Michael W (Sherry) Sherman, Laurece D Sherman Sisters Larella Conley and Bethel Juniel; special friend, Carolyn Ware and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
