Henry Spain went home to be with our heavenly father on December 9, 2020. Henry was born on May 4, 1923 in Sumter, SC. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Dorothy J. Spain. He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from United Airlines with 40 years of service. He was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church until his illness.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen A. Spain. Henry had three siblings: Jannie Muldrow, Helen Fisher, and Martha Loper, who have all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons: Ronald (Francine) Spain, Gregg (Kimberly) Spain of Omaha, Nebraska, Henry Spain II; daughter, Jennifer Spain. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was very much loved by his family and friends. His favorite pastime prior to his illness was cooking, listening to jazz music, gardening, and fishing. He will be dearly missed.
