Jacqueline E. Sanders, was born on July 24, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, to Betty Harrison and Anthony Sanders. Following the teachings of her mother, she attended church at an early age and confessed her life to Christ. On January 19, 2023, while at home, the angel of death bore the spirit of Jacqueline to a sin-free land, a land where all is peace, where there is no sickness, sorrow, or pain. We believe Jacqueline is at rest. We bid her a loving farewell.
Jacqueline, affectionally known as, “Mama Jac” carried many names.She was also called, “Auntie Jackie, Cousin Jackie, Grandma Jackie, and Mama J.” She attended North High School in Akron, Ohio. She was a resident of the Akron community for many years, working at Mohawk Tire and Rubber. Jackie was a jill of all trades, from taking cosmetology classes at Akron Gerber’s Beauty School to private duty nursing with her mother. Family meant everything to her and she greatly adored them. In her free time, “Mama J.” loved being around family. Her hobbies included: traveling, crossword, Sudoku puzzles, shopping, and playing scratch off tickets. In addition, she enjoyed watching crime shows, especially the first 48. In her younger years, she enjoyed and played softball. We all know Jackie would get you together when need be! Her most pleasurable time was engaging on a daily either on the phone or in person with her rival Jonathan Foreman getting him together in a nice loving way! And heaven forbid, we cannot forget Mr. Bill!!!
She was preceeded in death by her parents, brother, Willie Sanders, special friend, Wayne Richmond, and good friend, Lee Martin.
Jacqueline leaves to treasure her memories; sons, William Anthony (Man) Sanders, Larry S. (Scooter) Givens; many grand-children, great-grand children, friend, Mr. Bill Toomer; bonus son, Jonathan Foreman, cousin, Maxine Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that she loved dearly.
