On March 17, 2021 our Father in Heaven called him home.
Les was born in Barberton, Ohio to the late Willie Strickling and Sarah E. Simpson on August 5, 1944.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Strickling and Sarah Harmon; sister, Oona Jean Strickling.
Les was a honorable retired veteran. He served in the United States Marine Corp, US Army and the US Army Reserves. He was a sergeant in the service with many medals, badges and decorations. He was a honored for his rifle marksmenship, Desert Storm Operation, and National Defense to name a few. Les retired after serving from 1960 until 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Strickling; son, Timothy L. (Kia) Strickling; sister, Patty Ann Williams; grandchildren, Timothy Jr, Kelis and Kevin Strickling; stepchildren, Charles Hayes and Cynthia Jones; nephew, Bryan L. Spencer; sister-in-laws, Mae Presley and Ella Francise Richardson; brother-in-law, Matthew Hayes Jr; grandson, Ayden Lee Mason and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren; best friends, Mr and Mrs Gibson.
