Linda Joyce Brandon was born on July 8, 1951 in Akron, Ohio. She was born to the late Willie Mae and the late Clay T. Brandon.
Linda lived a life filled with the full spectrum of emotions. She experienced the highest of the highs and endured the lowest of the lows. Lynn, what everyone calls her, was single parent to Dinero Deetric Brandon, who did her best to raise her son into a hardworking and devoted man. Dinero loved his mother with all his heart and took care of her until her final days. Even though Lynn had only one child, she was like a mother to so many more.
Lynn was a lifetime resident of Akron but traveled the world and experienced more than most. She visited, Australia, London, Amsterdam, and many other countries. Lynn knew the Lord and was raised in Antioch Baptist Church. She was a graduate of South High School, Class of 1969 and received her Associates Degree from The University of Akron.
Lynn retired from AT&T as a Central Office Technician in 2013, she had 32 years of service.
During her 70 years on this earth, Lynn touched many lives and will be truly missed by all.
Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Brandon; father, Clay T. Brandon; brothers, Jerry Brandon, Henry Clay “H.C.” Brandon; sisters, Baby Brandon (twin-sister) and Nancy Brandon-Chisholm, Brenda Gary; and brother-in-law, Donald Gary; niece, Lashawn Brandon; and great-great nephew, Lonnie Blue.
Left to cherish her amazing memories is Lynn’s baby boy, Dinero Brandon and daughter-in-law, Summer Hall; granddaughters’, Denisha Brandon, Layla Hall-Brandon and Leah Hall; sister in law, Geraldine Brandon; brother, Garland Brandon; nephews, Henry Brandon Jr, Darshon Coppinger, Lamar Atchison; nieces, Renee Brandon, Denise Brandon, LaToya Brandon, Larenda Brandon; special Nana to, Courtney Hall, Mariah Hall, Miles Hall, all of Akron, Ohio; 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
Lifelong friends, Jimmy Valerie and Dwayne Boykin and best friend and travel buddy, Dennis McKnight and a host of family and friends.
