Marilyn Jackie Miller was born on Friday, December 16th, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio, where she was raised and went to school. Her family moved to Akron, Ohio in 1993, to further carry on their dreams of a greater life. Once in Akron she went on to further her education and became a caregiver, which she enjoyed deeply for over 20 years. Jackie was known for her beautiful big smile and being the most caring and loving person, you will ever meet. She touched so many hearts. Her home and heart were always open to those in need. She loved music, dancing, puzzles, a good show and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. In her free time, she would enjoy making beautiful blankets and garments for her family or out to “cut a rug” at a local dance lounge. She took pride in serving the Lord and having her grandbabies with her as much as possible. She was a faithful woman, and though she may be gone too soon she believed that God always has last say, and she is where she wanted to be. She will be truly and dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by mother, Roberta Standford; husband, Robert Miller; brothers, Archie Standford, Marvin and Melvin Hooks and William Hooks; sister, Donna Jean Haskins; sons, Zethran Jackson and Robert Edwards.
