Merry E. Beltz went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2024. She was born on December 26, 1948, to the late William and Eva Campbell.

Merry was born in Akron, Ohio and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from North High School and went on to attend The University of Akron. Following college, she was employed with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where she worked as a skilled lab technician and researcher and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years until she retired.

Merry dedicated her life to Christ at a young age and served the Lord with gladness her entire adult life. She was a member of World Harvest Church for 15 years. She received her minister’s license from World Harvest Church in 2009 and has since worked in many areas of her church including the weekly Intercessory Prayer Team, Personal Ministry Department, the Godhead Prayer Ministry, the Outreach Team, and has served as a hospitality worker and ministered at Hospice of Medina County. Minister Beltz completed the World Harvest Ministry Training Institute in 2021 and was an active part of Omega Women International, lending her voice of wisdom to women of all generations.

Merry was also very dedicated to her family. She loved spending time talking to her sisters on the phone, discussing important topics of the day from politics to Dancing with the Stars. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a die-hard movie buff. Merry was also a talented cook and baker and often received requests from loved ones for one of her amazing cakes. Merry carried herself with grace and class and had a fabulous sense of style thanks to her regular visits to Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Kohl’s, just to name a few!

Merry is preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Campbell, her siblings John Campbell Sr., William Campbell Sr., Clifford Campbell Sr., Agnes Hawkins Campbell, Joan Diane Cole and Naomi Allison.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sharmaine (Keith) Hill; son, Michael (Natasha) Floyd; grandchildren, Aaron (Alyssa) Patterson, Kayla Hill, Mason Floyd, Maxwell Floyd, and Myles Floyd; great grandchildren, Amari, Avery, and Aerie Patterson; sisters, Sallie Starks, Yvonne (Willie) Davis and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at World Harvest Christian Church, 250 N. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Akron, Oh 44333. Funeral service will immediately follow. Internment Mount Peace Cemetery.
