In Loving Memory Of

Michael Lee Henry

Sunrise: January 25, 1952
Sunset: October 23, 2021

Michael Lee Henry was born January 25, 1952 to William D. Sr. and Para Lee Henry in Anniston, Alabama.

He attended Akron Public Schools including Jennings Jr. High, graduated from Central Hower High School and furthered his education by studying music at the University of Akron. Finding love for music and singing, Michael formed a band with a friend and two of his brothers, Timmy and Patrick called Natural Element. He also loved singing in the church choir.

Anyone that knows Michael knew he had love for his favorite band, The Elements…. Earth, Wind and Fire, in which he introduced and shared with his children, grandchildren and even his great granddaughter. He had many hobbies he loved including but not limited to fishing, especially with his grandchildren, gardening with his wife Rosie, jarring his vegetables and cooking. He was an amazing cook, untouchable on the grill! And he watched the news like we watched movies, CNN and MSNBC. Michael’s career included working for Wright Tool and Forge for 25 plus years. During that time he established his own business called Crack-Nique glass repair, one of his prouder accomplishments and was very well respected, trusted and highly requested.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, William D. Sr. and Para Lee Henry; sisters, Lela M. Stevens and Patricia A. Wade; brothers, Roger and Patrick Henry and precious great granddaughter, Nyla Rose Goodwin. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving, loyal and dedicated wife of 46 years, Rosie Henry; children, Larnell Hicks, Petika (Tyrone) Lee and Michael Henry Jr; grandchildren, Tavares, Imani, Jaylen, Christian, Christopher, Miracle, Isabella and the apple of his eye, his dumpling as he called her his great granddaughter, Naomi; brothers, William Jr. (Loretta) of Cincinnati, Willie (Tammie), Curley (Paulette) of  McDonough, GA and Timothy (Franchelle); sister, Dr. Jo Ann Adkins and a host of other relatives and friends.
