Michelle Roseann Livingston, affectionately known as “Shelly,” age 67, of Akron, Ohio, was born on October 24, 1958, and departed this life on April 6, 2026.
Shelly lived a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering faith. She was a graduate of Buchtel High School, Class of 1976, in Akron, Ohio, and also attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Learon “Boss” Livingston; her mother, Pearl Livingston; her father, Aaron Livingston; and her sister, Amy St. Patrick.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Lawanna Livingston and Timesha Rogers; her sister, Marilyn (Rick) Ross; and her brothers, Kenneth Livingston, Tony Wallace, and Russell Beard. She was a loving grandmother to Deontae Jews, Tylan Person, and Hailie Sims, and also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will deeply miss her.
Shelly found happiness in the simple things—her morning cup of coffee, playing the lottery, and sharing laughter and jokes with those around her. She was especially known for her infamous VHS video recordings and for always taking and keeping photos, capturing moments and memories that will now be cherished forever. Shelly also loved everything beauty—from maintaining and styling her hair to enjoying lip glosses, eyelashes, and makeup. She had a gift for cooking and was known for continuing to carry on her son, Boss’, legacy.
A woman of strong faith, Shelly was a firm believer in the power of prayer and trusted deeply in God. Her faith guided her life and provided comfort to those around her.
Shelly’s legacy of love, laughter and faith will live on in all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Sommerville Funreal Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320.
