In Loving Memory Of

Milous Meadows

Sunrise: May 18, 1963
Sunset: November 12, 2025

Milous Meadows, 62, was called home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Nov 12, 2025.

Known for his warm spirit and infectious personality, Milous was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. He attended Akron Public Schools and proudly graduated from Central-Hower High School, Class of 1981. A gifted and dedicated athlete, Milous excelled in basketball, helping lead the team to both City and State Championships.

Milous attended Northeast Missouri State University on a sports scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. In addition to coaching high school basketball, Milous worked with adjudicated youth in a camp setting and served for over eight years as a substitute teacher with Akron Public Schools, primarily in the Department of Special Education supporting emotionally disturbed students. An avid member/supporter of the Booster Club he helped raise funds through food concessions.

Milous also dedicated more than 10 years to Alchemy, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Akron, Ohio. As a lead supervisor, he mentored countless young people and was known for his unwavering commitment to the mission of the organization, where he was considered valuable beyond measure.

Milous was also instrumental in supporting Serenity Crossroads Community Mental Health Center over the years, says owner/operator Royce Eggleston. Serving as a
caregiver and maintenance worker, he was an encourager, a steady supporter, and a faithful volunteer. After a devastating fire, he helped save one of the homes and later assisted in its reconstruction—opening his own doors to residents who had been displaced until the house was fully restored.

As a devoted member of the House of Prayer for All People Church, Deacon Milous cultivated a deep love for Christ. Under the leadership of Pastor R. Stacey Jenkins, he volunteered tirelessly in many areas of ministry, including the Food Bank, Free Lunch Program, Security, and Transportation. On Feb. 18, 2024, Milous was ordained as a Deacon—an honor that reflected his steadfast heart for service.

The church, which he lovingly referred to as his spiritual family, was a constant source of joy and strength for him.

Milous is now reunited with his parents, Joseph and Jesse Meadows; brother, Darrell Meadows; and sister, Zanarie D. Meadows.

He leaves to celebrate his life, siblings, Paula (Odell) Fennell of San Antonio, Texas, Veronica (Leonard) Meadows, of Akron, and Rodney (Tracey) Meadows, of Conyers, Georgia; nephews, Donald “Marcy” Garth, Darelle Meadows, Jr., Devin Meadows, Jeffery Fennell, Chevin Meadows; special niece, Ashley (Anthony “Penny”) Meadows-Moore; Shayla Meadows, great-nieces, Zacarie Meadows, and Madison Moore; close uncle, Rudy Meadows; special aunts, Ollie Meadows, and Betty Meadows; other close relatives, Duane, Drew, Jane, Carlene Groeger family, and a host of other family and friends.

Milous was truly loved by all who had the blessing of knowing him. He had a genuine concern for everyone, always with a kind word, helping hand, and lastly a warm smile.

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that, miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues”.
