

Evangelist Paula Driggs Walker went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 55.
Paula Driggs Walker was born on June 27, 1969, in Akron, Ohio to Ernest and Louise Driggs. She was the second oldest of 3 three children. She graduated from Garfield High School, in Akron, Ohio; and retired from Summit County MRDD (Southern Center), after 25 years of service, and was recently employed for Road Runner Transportation for the past 5 years.
To know Evangelist Paula Driggs Walker was to love and respect her. She was a member of the City of Joy Life Enrichment Center. She was a spirit filled classy woman of God who loved serving people and the Lord! She enjoyed studying and teaching the biblical word, outreach volunteer ministries, cooking, and she loved her husband, family and friends. She was a prayer warrior/intercessor, friend, patient, loving and kind. Her spiritual and physical presence will truly be missed by all who encountered her.
Evangelist Paula Driggs Walker was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Louise Driggs; Aunts, Clyde Vincent, Mildred Bennett, Ethel Butler, Myrtle Brooks, Annie Gates and Lula Brooks; Uncles, Claude Brooks, Willie “Boby” Brooks.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband of 13yrs, Perry Walker. Her final words to him were “Thank you for taking care of me, not everybody would do this”. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her brother, Kevin Driggs, (Odessa); sister, Toca Driggs; sisters-in-law, Joyce Walker and Myra Goynes; nieces, Shania Driggs and Damario Sampson; a host of family members and friends, and a special acknowledgement of appreciation to cousins Patrice, Phyllis, and Mone.
Friends may call on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320. Funeral service will immediately follow. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery.
