Our beloved, Reggie Eggleston, passed away on January 18th, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 20th, 1960. He was the son of Flora and the late Morris Eggleston.
Reggie graduated from South High school in 1978 and was a member of the football and wrestling team. His early career he was employed as a welder at Akron Welding & Spring and later retired from Nabisco and established his business, ‘Valley Chicken & Ribs’ in 2008. He loved cooking, barbecuing and hosting events- it was his passion. He was very involved in the community and volunteered with many groups and organizations including a youth leader at Fairlawn Elementary, a caretaker at Serenity Crossroads and a multitude of other caretaking positions. He was held with great affection by many due to his extensive involvement with the community, civic organizations and outreach programs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Morris “Sonny” Eggleston.
He is survived by his wife, April Eggleston, of Akron, Ohio; mother, Flora Eggleston, of Elyria, Ohio; daughter, Aliyah Eggleston; son, Reginald “Langston” Eggleston; brothers, Rodney Eggleston, of Columbus, Ohio, Randall & Royce (Dawndavina) Eggleston of Akron, Ohio; sister, Andrea (James) Love of Elyria, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

1650 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320. Funeral service will immediately follow.
