Samuel Williams was born on July 11, 1944 in Barberton, Oh to J.C. and Lucy Williams. He suddenly departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was affectionately known as “Poppy”, “Granddaddy” and “Uncle Sam”.
Sam was a license experience tradesman in flooring where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a Master Craftsman Remodeling bathrooms and basements you name it he did it. Same was a beautiful person with a giant heart and was a loving father and grandfather who loved family. He was always there whenever you needed him, and his smile brought happiness to us all. He loved to travel and entertain and enjoyed coffee in the morning at McDonald’s with friends. Sam had a passion for cooking, and he was known for the best BBQ ribs and chicken. Sam was a faithful member of Faith Temple C.L.G. for over 20 years where he had fish fry’s to support the church and they were always a success.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lucy and J.C. Williams; brothers, Rudolph, Robert and James Williams; sisters, Lucille, Lillie Mae Williams, Thelma Glass and Lucinda Watkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Samuel (Gloria) Williams and grandchildren, Sataira, Samuel III and Miracal Williams; son, Shawn Penn and grandson, Jordan Penn Cicora; stepson, Marzell Carter and grandson, Markell Carter; special loving companion, Marcella Carter; mother of his sons, Patricia Allen and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
