Shirley Marie Smith entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord, surrounded by her family on January 24, 2022.

She was born in Canton, Oh. She was the youngest of seven siblings. Shirley was blessed with two children, Vincent E. Smith and Valerie J. Smith. She worked for PPG Industries and Kent State University. Shirley was a longtime member of First Apostolic Faith Church where she taught sign language to her Sunday school class. She enjoyed writing poetry, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Miller; five loving brothers, Thomas White, William White, Edward White, John Miller, Earl Miller and Doris Norris, her loving sister and best friend. Shirley will remain in the hearts of her loving children, Valerie J. Smith and Vincent E. Smith. She also leaves in memory a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
