Teresa D. Roberts was a called home on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
She was born on May 18, 1935 in Akron, Oh to the late Richard and Roxie Roberts. Teresa attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School. She worked at Kent State University, a skilled Nurse and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church until her health failed.
Teresa was a strong willed God fearing woman and was devoted to taking care of her children and grandchildren. She will be best remembered by her personality and she was a strong woman. Her children never had to want for anything. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and she loved her pork chops. Teresa always opened her home up to everyone, she had a gentle soul.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Roxie Roberts; brothers, Winston, Eddie, Richard Jr. and Leon Roberts; sisters, Mary Helen Davis, Mamie Frances (Roberts) McCullars and Rosa Bell Cody; grandchildren, Brandi and Heather Wyatt and Tommy Davenport.
Teresa leaves behind and will be sadly missed by her children, Lisa (Anthony) Roberts, Rachel (Troy) Bennett, Lora (Tony) and Leslie (Stacey) Roberts; special friends, Sueretta Harris, Loretha Tolbert, Sarah and Frank Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Edith Sayre for her dedication to our mother by being her caregiver for over 12 years with no days off. Mom loved her as she was blood, so its blood love. Edith we love you! Also special thanks to Doctor Drost, Lora Hendershot and Rochelle Smith.
