

Terri Renee Bell, 61, passed away on March 17, 2025, in her home. Terri grew up in North Akron, Ohio, where she was well-educated, and a talented athlete. During her childhood, she was a proud member of the Mystic Nights of Akron, Ohio. Terri was an award-winning track star at North High School, as she was awarded with the all-city championship in track and field. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Akron while working full-time employment.
Terri was married for 37 beautiful and fruitful years. She was patient, understanding, and kind, and strived to maintain peace, harmony, and unity within her family. Terri also brought much laughter and joy to anyone in her presence. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and relaxing on her porch or patio. Terri enjoyed the fruits of nature, as she often indulged in beautiful flowers for her home. She enjoyed reading, catching up on her favorite television shows, listening to “old school” music, and cruising. Terri was also a Cleveland sports fan, including the Browns. She was also the proud author of a romance novel, Pretty Boy Blues.
Terri was also well accomplished. As a military spouse, she worked for several military bases around the country. Terri was also a dedicated public servant. Upon her husband’s military retirement, she obtained employment at Community Services in Canton, Ohio. She then moved on to work for the Stark County Court of Common Pleas as the Reentry Court Director for 18 years. Throughout her career as a public servant, she built meaningful and lasting relationships with her colleagues, and she will be truly missed.
Terri was known as a “force of nature,” as she was the epitome of strength, kindness, and love. Terri was also a lover of fashion and selfcare. Never one to shop at a store, she obtained the best online shopping deals and dressed “to the nines.”
Terri was preceded in death by parents, Frederic and Elizabeth Sellers; sister, Cassie Sellers; brother-in-law, Edward Steward; aunts, Juanita Standifer, Eva Gaines, Barbara (Alvin) Lee, Geraldine (Albert) Pritchett, Donna Gaines; uncle, Thornton Gaines Jr., and grandparents Thornton and Annie Gaines.
She is survived by husband, Loren H. Bell Sr.; stepdaughter, Tiesha (Michael) Caesar; daughter, Loreal E. Bell; son, Loren H. Bell Jr.; step grandchild, Maximus M. Cesar; sister, Lisa Stewart; brother, Frederic Sellers II; uncle, Donald (Leandra) Gaines; aunt, Annie (Sheldon) Fant. Terri leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved and cherished and a legacy of love and strength. She will be missed beyond measure.

Calling hours will be held at the Somerville Funeral Services on March 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. The internment will be held at the Western Reserve National Cemetery following the services.
