In Loving Memory Of

Willie Wilder

Sunrise: May 31, 1944
Sunset: November 22, 2025
Willie Wilder, of Akron, OH, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by his family. He lived a life of service to his family and church, and his faith guided him through every chapter of his life.
Willie was hard-working and dedicated. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working with his hands, fishing (“not catching”) with his grandchildren, trips to Kiawah Island, and attending the annual Fikes and Pritchett family reunion. His journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Nancye; their children, Avery Dennison (Michael) and Jory Wilder (Brittany Bell). He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Teonna, and was blessed to raise her children—Kyerra, Kiana, NaZay, and Natori—as his own. From his first marriage, he leaves children Jeff Wilder, Tony Wilder, Robert Wilder, Rodney Wilder, Rhonda Wilder, Will Wilder, and Pam Gulley (Raymond) to cherish his memory. He also leaves behind his brothers, Robert Wilder and Jimmie Wilder (Marilyn); his sister, Betty Hawkins; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
