Judy Marie Evans, a native of Farrell, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was 71 years old.
Judy is survived by her 3 children, Joseph Lee Evans (Takio), James Edward Evans (Shelmin), and Willie Charles Evans Jr. (Karen). Judy’s true source of happiness were her nine grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to Tahja, Amiya, Joseph Jr., Noah, James Jr. Courtney, Madeleine, Camille, and Langston Evans. She is also survived by one brother, Alphonso Miller (Sharon, PA), one sister, Mary Terry (Charlotte, NC), and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judy was born on August 13, 1952, in Handley, West Virginia to John and Ruby L. (Wilkerson) Miller. She was one of 10 siblings.
While born in West Virginia, Judy called Farrell, PA home. She dedicated her life to the care of others. Professionally, she was a medical assistant for over 20 years. Personally, she committed years to having a direct role in raising all of her grandchildren. She did this with joy and with pride. An imprint that will truly last for generations to come. Judy was an avid reader and staunch football fan. Her love for the Pittsburgh Steelers came only second to her grandchildren.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Rodrick “Red-Dooley” Miller, Billie Adams, Betty Woodson, Alice McKinney, Johnetta Miller, Alonzo Miller, and Frank Miller.
She is loved and will be missed greatly!
