Carol Ann Boone transitioned from life on January 23, 2024, at the beautiful age of 73, while in the tender care of Pataska Oaks Care Center, Pastaska, Ohio. She was born March 28, 1950, the only child, of the late John and Ambrosia Jackson (Boone).

Carol grew up at 193 W. North Street and attended Akron Public Schools, Bryan Elementary, Jennings Middle School and graduated from North High School. After graduation she took a job as a cab driver and moved up to driving for different organizations, including Head Start, Community Action and United Disability Services. She later went on to attend the University of Akron where she majored in computer science. She also furthered her education by taking numerous trade classes through the Akron Urban League that led to her becoming an Operations Engineer. She was also a Jack-Of-All-Trades due to the many trades classes she completed. Carol was an avid advocate for helping other women advance to good paying jobs as Operations Engineers.

Carol loved to play cards, particularly Bid Whist, Spades and Solitaire, she also enjoyed puzzle games like Sudoku and Crossword puzzles, she really enjoyed Sundays, she would listen to gospel and watch sports, especially, baseball, football, basketball, she enjoyed them all. She was always ready for a good conversation about Lebron, the Cavs or Cleveland Browns. Loyal and true, she supported the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  She loved her sports and entertainment, but she was equally passionate about the world we live in, staying informed on important issues in the community, government, and politics and she encouraged others to stay informed and willingly shared the news and her opinions with those around her.

She is preceded in death by parents, John and Ambrosia Jackson; grandparents, Dennis and Leola Boone; uncles, Rufus Boone, Herbert Boone, Dennis Boone Jr and Walter Boone; aunts, Mary Simmons, Isabelle Boone, and Eunice Knight; cousins, Karen Hatcher, Noel Knight, Micheal Boone, Deaconess Cynthia Amos, Sherry Boone, Debbie Boone, Peggy Boone and special cousin, who was more like a cousin, Michael Senter.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life; uncles, James, and Ralph Boone; father of her children, David Cohen Sr., sons, Richrd Boone and David Cohen Jr.; daughter, Remonda Boone and Darlicia Boone; grandchildren, Patreea Boone, Sapreea’ Boone-English, Brittany Averitt, Noami, Boone-Blake, Richard Boone Jr, La-Shara Boone, Tanee’ Boone, Dominic Scott, Rishee’ Boone, Davontre Cohen, Demetrius Dixon, Daelyn McGinnis, DarQuan Dixon, DarKya Dixon, Jaheel, Hafeez-Bey, Khaleel Hafeez-Bey, Ethan Boone-Walker; great grandchildren, Kaniya Boone, Kashmir English, Tyqwon Pinkney, Saniya Buck, Keyah Kuzmik, Daryous Pinkney, DeZhay Townsend, King McCant, Kodi Warren, Kiro Davis, Malaya Walton, Aurelia Dixon and Kehlani Jennings; god-children, Jeffery Miller, Darius Scott, Deanne Scott and Marquis Scott; special sisters, Noarm Miller, Audrey Taylor and (cousin) Dianna Cookie Brown, Marie Sammons, and beloved sisters, Mary Sue Clark and Michelle “Mickey” Pickett and host of other relatives and dear friends.
