Allie Jean Wright was born on August 15, 1941, to James and Callie Ransom in Memphis, Tennessee. She passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025.
Allie met John Wright in 1956, and they became husband and wife May 30, 1961.

After many years and several children, Allie became the first in her family to dedicate her life to Jehovah and was baptized on July 16, 1971, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She often served as an auxiliary pioneer alongside her husband John who served as an elder in the Akron Thornton Congregation.

Even though Allie was always busy caring for her large family and keeping active in the ministry, her children fondly remember all of the delicious meals she would take the time to prepare for herself and her family, and anybody else who just happened to drop by.

Allie had a calm, loving and reassuring personality that both young and old found easy to be drawn to. And she will be terribly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Wright; son, Keith Wright; daughters, Darnice Hubbard and Crystal Wiggins; brothers, Carnell Ransom and Nathaniel Ransom, and sisters, Callie Mae Butler, Arnita Pinkard and Cleota Demmings.

She is survived by her children, sons, Kevin Wright, Jerome Wright, Vincent Lee, Virgil (Lepsy) Wright, Darnell Wright; daughters, Trenna Tucker, Octavia (Fred) Hollis; son-in-law, Tydge Hubbard; brothers, Oscar Lee Arnold, Donald Ransom and James Ransom Jr.; sisters, Shirley Bill Ransom, Delores (John) Kofer and Vicki Ransom; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
