Dorothy J. Dixon
Dorothy J. Spencer Dixon passed away on October 1, 2026.
Dorothy J. Spencer Dixon was born February 21, 1952, to Eugene and Virginia Spencer. She graduated from John R Buchtel high school in 1970. She was a former member of the Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church. In 1999 she later joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she worked as the office manager Sunday school teacher and financial secretary. She was also employed by Akron Children’s Hospital until her illness. She enjoyed shopping, reading and 70’s music.
She was preceeded in death by father, Eugene Spencer; mother, Virginia Spencer; sisters, Barbara McBeth and Ethel Harrington.
She leaves the cherish her memory loving daughter, LaTrissa J. Dixon sons Jamie L. Dixon Jr and Maurice T. Spencer; sister, Ethel Stephens and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Cremation has already taken place, and no services will be held per Dorothy’s wishes.

Sending my condolences to her children. I remember her as such a sweet , soft and kind woman. I pray that you all are comforted by God and your loved ones during this difficult time.
I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family. I did not personally know Ms. Dixon, but I would say “Goodnight” to her every day as I would be leaving Children’s Hospital. She always greeted me with a smile. Alot of us did not know of her passing.
