Edward Earl Duck III was born in Akron, Ohio on July 19, 1998 to parents, Edward Earl Duck Jr. and Angela Duck.
Edward was a graduate of Akron Public Schools and was known for his warm personality, infectious smile and kind heart. Eddie was very articulate and strived to do everything with excellence. He was a quite leader and had a very humble spirit. His teacher from elementary school said that Eddie was a natural born leader. His mom admired his love for art and said that he often sketched drawing of family and enjoyed working with his hands. Eddie enjoyed listening to music and one of his favorite contemporary Christian songs was, “I can only Imagine”, by Merci Me. This song ministered to his soul and became very special to Eddie.
Edward is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph W. Blackmon and uncle, Kenneth E. Blackmon.
Eddie is survived by parents, Angela and Edward Duck; daughter, Caelia Duck and mother of his daughter, Madison Sergent (love of his life); sisters, Chanell Duck, Kyra, Kiesha and Kayla Brown; brother, Jayden Johnson; grandparents, Jessie Blackmon, Laynel (James) Bell and Edward (Pamsy) Duck Sr, all of Akron, Ohio; aunts, Theresa (Thomas) Parker of Elmore, Alabama and Marilyn Blackmon of Akron, Ohio; uncles, Ronald Smith, Eric Duck and Derrick Duck Sr. of Akron, Ohio; godparents, Ulanda and Carl Matthews and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
