Sheila Rae Godbey Long was born on October 16, 1954 to Ruby Aulene Stewart and Howard Edward Godbey in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Sheila was a very organized person, loved animals, and most importantly loved GOD.
Sheila attended school in Canal Fulton, OH. Sheila worked for 20 years at Akron City Hospital as a Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician.
Sheila and Timothy Long met later in life and quickly fell in love. They were united in marriage on September 11, 2010. The love they shared was magical.
Sheila accepted Jesus into her heart as her personal Lord and Savior and attended Community Baptist Church of Tallmadge under the leadership of Reverend Sheila A. Hershberger.
Sheila enjoyed spending time with her husband, taking care of her cats (Maggie and Riley), shopping, going to the Casino, and attending church. Sheila was strong, even though she suffered many years with heart complications. She fought to the very end and won eternity with Jesus.
Sheila’s greatest regret was not being able to spend more time with her children.
Sheila is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Aulene Stewart and father, Howard Edward Godbey.
She will be remembered by her husband of 9 years, Timothy Long; son, Duane Bickett; daughter, Stephanie Marshall; step daughter, Courtney Holloway; brother, Brad Stewart; sisters, Brenda Thomas, Crystal Renner; grandchildren, Haley, Aaliyah, Gavin; step granddaughter, Cecilia Holloway; 6 nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
